Bead Reamers & Awls
Bead Reamers are used to enlarge the size of a bead hole. Bead Reamers with a diamond coated tip are best used for gemstone beads, whereas a reamer with a spiral pattern tip is best used for pearls and other soft materials. Ultimately, a bead reamer will help an artist smooth bead holes and make them larger.
A beading awl is used to slip knots into place when you are knotting in between your beads. They are extremely useful and look much like a knitting needle.
